Smart early-stage partnership with Modularis
In 2015, SmartWitness was a small startup with the ambition and brains to design and create telematic IoT devices for fleet management. The first goal was to create a foundation that connects rich-data devices and allow partners to easily access and digest the data.
Building a video telematics and an IoT platform together
Together, SmartWitness and Modularis needed to connect video, audio, and telematics data for vehicle fleets around the world. To build the platform, the architecture required an evolution from point-to-point to dynamic multi-directional data flows… and that required true partnership and flexibility.
A successful launch… in under 6 months
Early delivery of a reliable core platform allowed SmartWitness to start testing and scaling quickly. They spent resources capitalizing on opportunities, not scrambling to solve daily support for a shaky MVP.

The system scaled elastically without re-architecting… Modularis and SmartWitness evolved to a relationship of shared development and even contributing code back. The product grew from prototype to a million-device scale.
