Stabilizing a decade-old platform without rebuilding it
truDigital‘s core product – digital signage infrastructure used across restaurants, breakrooms, and enterprise environments – was built in 2011. By the time Neul Capital acquired truDigital in 2021, the platform was showing its age: performance issues, bandwidth problems, and the prevailing fear that everything needed to be rebuilt.
Modularis rejected that premise. The team isolated the real architectural failures, fixed root causes, and proved the existing codebase was still seaworthy. No rewrite, risky migration, or multi-year rebuild.
Shipping more with fewer developers
When truDigital was acquired, the company had five internal developers and an R&D culture stuck in maintenance mode. After integrating Modularis:
- The dev team dropped to two people: one Modularis, one internal
- Output exceeded that of the previous team
